Bedtime Nightmare

First-person horror where light is your only protection, survive the night one task at a time.

First-person psychological horror — wishlist on Steam.

Overview

Bedtime Nightmare is a first-person horror game where light is your only protection. Complete simple tasks while surviving in the dark, every action drains your safety. Fear is grounded in childhood anxieties and compulsions: familiar spaces turn hostile when the lights go out, and something begins to move in the dark.

Story

You are a child left alone at night. Simple routines become survival tasks. Fear feels real, shaped by childhood anxieties and compulsions. When the lights go out, something starts moving in the darkness.

Visuals

The game is experienced from a low, child-height perspective, with distorted scale so ordinary objects feel imposing. Light and darkness drive gameplay: high-contrast spaces where shadow and silhouette matter as much as what you can see clearly. The look is nostalgic early-2000s domestic spaces, lived-in, familiar, and quietly wrong once night falls.

Experience

Challenging, tense, replayable, and nostalgic. Each night asks you to balance routine with risk: finish what you must before battery runs out, and learn when to move, when to recarge, and when the dark is no longer empty.
